Life is worth much more

 Jane's lies caused me to break up with Timothy and she expects me to advice Charles to marry her.  No one sponsored me through School and my family members want me to sponsor my step brother. How can my colleagues in the office expect me to support Oscar who destroyed my business plans?


 Life many times throws this kind of balls our way. The question is what do we do with it?

Life is worth much more, it worth more than Jane destroying your 5 years relationship with Timothy, some other person will fail in love with you. Life is worth much more than anyone destroying your business plans for the human brain is the world's greatest masterpiece. Life is worth much more than sponsoring your step brother through School besides how does that diminish your knowledge. Life is worth much more than insults and discrimination from people, only those who feel inferior can let another break them.

In the words of  Kahlil Gibran in his poem "On Joy and Sorrow'', states ;
Some of you say, "Joy is greater than sorrow," and others say, "Nay, sorrow is the greater."
But I say unto you, they are inseparable.
Together they come, and when one sits, alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.

These words makes me realised that Joy and Sorrow are part of life. Its a teacher, if only one learns from it and rise above it. Life is much bigger than dwelling in some pain cause by another, there is so much to achieve.The Holy Bible states we are specially and beautifully created by God and that God loves us, so never let anything or anyone break you. When the world thinks you have been defeated, surprise them and raise up, be the King you have been created to be. Show them Love, smile and invite them for dinner, keep doing good. The Holy Bible in Proverb 16;7 states; When a man’s ways please the LORD, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Furthermore, lets learn from the words of Rabindranath Tagore; “I slept and dreamt that life was joy. I awoke and saw that life was service. I acted and behold, service was joy.”  Even though you succeed in getting the billion dollar deal, marriage and your revenge so what! Life is still worth much more. Human wants and needs are unlimited according to economics. Life is a gift and its worth living only by putting a smile on someone's face. 

Life is worth much more than loss of money, marriage partner, car, people's gossip etc. If Life was limited to these things then such a person does not desire much.

I read an interview on Hajiya Aishatu Ahamdu Danbaba. She was asked several questions but her response to two, i found very interesting; (1) What makes you happy? 
She replied: Is there anything that defines happiness more than this? My father died 43 years ago but it is as if he is still alive. Everybody still talks nicely about him. He is being immortalised. This is the source of joy that cannot be rivalised.

(2) What would you like to be remembered for? She replies: I want to be remembered for the good i did. I want to be remembered for helping people.

On a finally note, one of the essence of this article is in remembrance of one of Africans greatest son, Nelson Mandela despite his pains and sufferings for 27 years in asylum yet he said; “As I walked out the door toward the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn't leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I'd still be in prison.”
