Prayer Is Not A Magic Ward

At the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus prayed three times for the cup to pass but it did not (Matthew 26:36-56).
Prayer sometimes is not a magic ward, answers do not always come immediately. Prayer is a communion with your Maker - God, sometimes He answers immediately, sometimes He strengthens you for the task ahead and sometimes He gives you clues to solve the puzzle.

Lord Jesus, while on earth was courageous and intelligent, he never lacked the right words to say but howbeit that during his time of tribulation, he did not defend himself and spoke little or no words. I believe after he uttered these words of prayer;  'Lord not my will but yours' -God began to prepare Him for the task ahead.

In 2 Corinthians 12:8-10; Apostle Paul prayed three times for God to remove the thorn but God responded my grace is sufficient for you. Prayer is not always a means to receive from God but also the grace to be equipped for challenges ahead. When you pray, the Lord strengthens you.

Permit me to say that God's major goal is not to provide you with stuffs like, houses, cars, children and so on, thats' already your heritage package in Christ Jesus. Therefore His primary goal is to conform us to the image of His Son (Romans 8:29).

Mary Magdalene did not go to the Lord's tomb because she wants a brand new car, a 4 bedroom apartment, a child, a new job or to prove His resurrection. The Bible said she went with oil (Mark 16:1), in order words she went to anoint and to worship. And the Lord revealed himself to her (John 20:11-18). One of the misunderstanding we have in the Body of Christ is, many go to the Lord to get from Him.. We live in a 'GIVE ME, GIVE ME GENERATION' but it is written God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth(John 4:24).

Power is a part of God, healing is a part of God, wealth is a part of God, but when you seek the Lord, you get all of Him.

Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, Paul and Salias where not rescued because they lamented their grief to God, they were rescued because they praised God in the storm. When you esteem God above your circumstances miracles occur beecause you are not being conformed to this world: but be rather transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).

Thank you Holy Spirit.

Shalom!!!
