NATURE OF GOD

In the creation story, LORD God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils (Gen. 2:7). The breath of life is not only oxygen. God breathed in Himself, His nature, His life (eternal life) and potentials.

Man is created in the likeness and image of God but Yahweh gave man free will to either embrace Him or reject Him. God wants Man to use his free will to choose Him.

However, at the Garden of Eden, man rejected God when he ate the forbidden fruit. And since disobedience is not a character of God, Man assumed the character of the enemy who he chose above God.

But Jesus came to reconcile us back to God; He gave us His Spirit, life (eternal life) which Paul states in Titus 1:2 was there right from the beginning.

Furthermore, Apostle Paul in Titus 3:4-6 said we are saved not by our own deeds but for the sake of the Lord’s mercy, to the WATER OR REBIRTH AND RENEWAL by the HOLY SPIRIT. This therefore means not our righteousness but the righteousness of God comes when we accept Christ, rebirth which Paul states in Titus 3:8 implies those who believe in God must excel in good deeds.

Brethren decide today to accept and submit to the nature of God so as to excel in good deeds which is all that matters and is profitable to us.
